To celebrate one of Nick Lowe’s great songs, “Without Love,” Yep Roc Records is reissuing Johnny Cash’s Rockabilly Blues on 180-gram vinyl. Originally released in 1980, Rockabilly Blues is a collection of tunes harkening back to the days Johnny Cash enjoyed at Sun Records. The album showcases an all star cast of musicians, producers, and friends of the man in black. It features singles “Cold Lonesome Morning,” “Without Love” written by his then son-in-law Nick, and “The Twentieth Century Is Almost Over,” a tune that would help to spawn The Highwaymen. Order yours HERE at the Yep Roc Store.
Watch Nick perform his version of the song live at Yep Roc’s 15th anniversary festival from October 2012 in the player below.
