Yep Roc Records, the artist-driven label that proudly refuses to be labeled, will celebrate its 15th anniversary with Yep Roc 15, a three-night concert blowout October 11, 12 and 13, at the Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro, NC, featuring once-in-a-lifetime performances, collaborations, and recording sessions by current and past Yep Roc artists.
The stellar Yep Roc 15 line-up includes (Click any artist name for more information) Dave Alvin, Chatham County Line, John Doe, Liam Finn, Fountains Of Wayne, Jukebox the Ghost, Robyn Hitchcock, Los Straitjackets, Nick Lowe, Chuck Prophet, Darren Hanlon, Eleni Mandell, Mayflies USA, Cheyenne Marie Mize, Tift Merritt, Josh Rouse, The Sadies, Sloan, and Jim White ! John Wesley Harding will serve as Master of Ceremonies.
Online ticket sales have ended, but single-night passes for all three Cat’s Cradle shows are available for purchase at Schoolkid’s Records in Raleigh, NC and CD Alley in Chapel Hill, NC. Single-night passes will also be available for purchase at the Cat’s Cradle box office the night of each performance.
Based in Haw River, NC, Yep Roc Records was founded in 1997 by Tor Hansen and Glenn Dicker. Known for a genre-busting catalogue, Yep Roc has released over 300 albums, singles, videos and boxed sets to date. “If I’ve got my Yep Roc t-shirt on, I’m not really a part of one scene,” says Hansen. “I accept that, in fact I love it.”
